Notre-DameA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)I see the news said the Notre-Dame to the pigeons in the sky I see the people cry said he why oh why do they weep for me I dont know why? what especially for me? was i not just stone and mud a simple labour of some love of sweat and toil the people cry and stare and dream of me how yesterday I strongly stood I can be strong again I can be what you want me to be I just wont be quite so ancient old life has challenges and this is only one my people my France will see me through as Frenchmen often do
