My friend of twelve years leaving my work today

My friend you leave today
Not sure
If I really want you to go away
But you must
So in God I truly trust
So no more sitting in this park
At lunch at work in sun
Like two sisters we do spoke
About all and sundry
You gave me hope
Your confidential ear
Always ready to wipe away
What tears I had
I hope I’ve been a good friend
For you as well
So I will not dwell on your impending
Exit
Just wish you will in this your
Next adventure
I’ll say goodbye good luck
And give you a parting gift and card
And maybe take you to a nearby cafe
For our final lunchtime work time sit
And sip our
Coffees my little buddy

finding a true friend is a hard thing to do ... i read if one has just one good friend in a lifetime it is saying something ... difficult to say goodbye to all the things your poem mentions .. but in this day and age staying in touch is pretty easy ;)
the syntax makes the rhythm a bit rocky .. like "At lunch at work in sun" ...and "About all and sundry" ... but your deep felt emotions and caring deliver a strong message :)
