'Twas

'Twas

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

Going nowhere writing as I go My late mums saying 'twas ever thus

"
''Twas in the month of May
Hey hey
'Twas ever thus
My mother told us
''Twas not meant to be
Said he with no sure glee
''Twas just a storm
He said as the electric heater
Turned cold from warm
''Twas on a fine and sunny day
As they made love under sniffy hay
''Twas always will and always be
The world and His creativity
''Twas a great man a shame
He's gone so suddenly
''Twas evermore and under stars
The tides do rise with moon
Light guiding shadows over moors

Twas, sounds so nice reading it in my mind. Not stupid at all. I commend how you write anything you feel.

Not stupid at all Julie! , A splendid potpourri of ""Twas"s...reads like a fanciful song comprised of snippets of lace cutouts of scenes from your childhood. How precious that you share your mother's words and your life with us. Just superb.
