My surfer boy
hey hey hey I met last May a million years away His blonde bleached hair all astray All tousled with sand of the long hot summer day I was a girl who didnt swim much I loved the sea and the rock pools and of course walked to the end of the beach with my friends and saw him only him there he was alone on his wave it was a hot summers day my hair all long and wild my bikini was black all crocheted and skimpy we waved to each other as he came in on his wave he ran to me with his surfboard on hand he was my surfer boy my one in a million we kissed by that sunset he held my hands he said his name was Jeff he lived up the coast and I visited him every year till i was twenty one once a year i would see my surfer boy Jeff we would have such fun baking our bodies in the hot summer sun he taught me to swim out in the deep he showed me the urchins in the rock pools so steep he taught me to windsurf alone out at sea we even got a little catamaran and sailed to an island with pure white sand The years have passed and i wonder where my surfer boy ended up we lost touch in the eighties I loved my surfer boy Jeff I wish you nothing but the best whatever life has brought you i miss you thats for sure that surfer boy on that blue ocean shore © 2017 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
