Moon and fairy dust
She lay in bed Her cat was there It lay purring on her chair Far from her window A silver burning light It shone so deep and bright All the hours on That summers night Oh if only I could fly Thought she with glee Way up in the sky And over trees I'd visit all the fairies as they Practice magic way up there I'd fly to France and sit on Eiffel Tower bare And when it's morn I'll see a rainbow From my pretty flowers bower And maybe meet my soul mate there I'll see the spider web up close With dew drops forming in nights ghost I'll make friends with all the wooded urchins And then take turns in games of mystery We will be the fairy kingdom queen Mary And her followers like little bumble bees She awoke and felt her cat tug for it was Only dream that she had been A queen fairy flying through the night Breeze So she awoke and patted cat and said aloud I'll be a fairy yet She walked across the room and brushed Her golden hair Lo and behold what is that I see there It's my fairy dress laid neatly on her chair So small and glittery and fit quite tight Where will she travel to in moonlight Again tonight © 2017 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
