Within Reach

Here I am

Standing in the rain

Waiting for it to wash away all my worries.

 

That night floods back to me;

Cursing me with deadly thoughts.

 

You had your hand held out;

Knowingly that throughout this pain I’ve stayed.

 

But little did you know

That I don’t need you anymore.

 

Because I’ve finally

Found someone within reach.
