Nature

Nature is the one thing that connects us to the beginning of time.

From when there was just dirt

To discovering the first life form.

However, what interests me most about Nature

Is how it can make someone feel so alive.

 

When I’m walking down a dirt path surrounded by nature

All I can think about is how I feel so content.

I forget about all the problems in my life.

I forget that anything could ever go wrong.

I forget that I’m not perfect.

 

The fact about nature is it gives me

Everything I’ve ever been hoping for.

I soon realize that all the those things            

I’ve been holding onto to are worthless.

I breathe in the fresh air and let everything go.

 

This seems to be the only place I can truly loose myself,

Where I can be anyone I dream of being.

Where it seems like anything is possible.

But when I take one step off that dirt path and onto concrete,

Reality comes flooding back.
