There was once a lovely website called Gather; there was once a semi-underground periodical called the Greenwich Courier. And once a computer on which I saved everything. Gather went away; the paper folded, as it were, and the computer died- and most of my words were then gone. I remember this portion of a longer set.

Your losses Julian are significant for a lover of poetry. I know how I would feel to lose my poetry lifelines. Pleased that you recalled a haiku of avian delight. Bluebirds and owls I have written about myself, but the mockingbird I have only read about.
There will be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover

Your visit makes this day so much better than it has been thus far. A thousand thanks.
This is incredible, this really is incredible. The creativity; the masterful ability.
It is art like this that reminds me why I love to read, why I am baffled by the work of linguistic virtuosos.
And if there is one thing that art never fails to achieve, it is to spur an emotion within the self.
The emotion your work has spurred in me just now has forced me to listen to The Caretaker's "Everywhere at the end of time", for it vividly reminds me of memories, fond yet forgotten.
You have brought peace to my mind before my examination.
Thank you.
I'm sorry for that earlier time and the passing of time, but even these lines spark and awakened my senses. I like the strength shown the bird types 🐦 Beautiful thoughts, keep writing!
Keep well my friend

A lovely, enchanted and wonderfully written haiku, author Julian. And I'm sorry to hear the losses of your works. It must be harsh to lose the works you've poured passion into and more over, the site where you housed them.
