The Exceptional StudentA Poem by Julia LedoThe amazingly above the non existent average
Look at me.
Im the amazingly above the non existent average Look I'm the eighth person with a 4.1 How DO I do it? Position: Full Time Student I haven't worked a day in my Life Worker bee worker bee Ridiculous queen Demanding dream Millennial screams Into the void Because really what could be wrong? When I got all the answers right? Fight fight fight Against the tide Of everything is just alright Its not enough Its not okay But dont you dare miss a day You might do something with your time Instead of follow all the lemmings In their cliff dive Some of them know how to swim And I've never known how to drown. But is that special? Or just a necessary drive If I want to keep my head above the water And make it out alive But waste waste waste the day You don't get much of a life You'll be glad for it when you're climbing the ladder That has a big "no tresspassing" sign But look! Look? Look at me? Im the amazingly above the non existent average? I have a 4.1 "You're just like everybody else" "Sell yourself" I've become well rounded Because they cut corners And while all my friends Are wishing for the coroner There's every outlet saying "You've ruined everything" © 2017 Julia LedoReviews
