Soft as Rain

Soft as Rain

A Poem by Julia Ledo

Your smile is as soft as rain,
Like if the rain was really hard pounding rain
No, honestly, it's like super forceful.
And kind of awe-inspiring in a way,
if you like really awful smiles
I mean its not an ugly smile
You just smile so hard sometimes your face looks like a hamster trying to say "cheeeeeseeee"
And hamsters are pretty cute.
But anyways, rain.
Soft as pouring rain.
So like not soft at all.
And pouring rain hits my nose and my glasses,
It covers my clothes and gets down in my socks,
And it's cold
A type of cold that shivers its way down my spine
But I've never liked being warm
And, luckily, I've always loved the pouring rain.

when it is a forced smile...it is a forceful rain...a soft rain that hurts tremendously----

this is a very sad storm of words...the subtle hurt showing through.
