So I say

So I say

A Poem by Julia Ledo

Like, I say I want nine children
But I have no idea what will happen
When I will stop
If I even start
My body is the ultimate decision maker
And my body is kind of a jerk
So I say nine children

And it may be of some importance to find a boyfriend first
But who knows?
Maybe I'll be alone?
Maybe I'm meant for something
Or someone
Else
I haven't had much luck
Even so I say I'll fall in love

So I say
So I say
So I say
And say
And say
And say
That I'll write someday
And I'll be an artist
And I'm writing now
And have been for a while
So what am I?
A writer, an artist, so I say

It's so easy to live in the future. We are more certain on tomorrow than today, aren't we? The end goal is more fun to fantasize about than the steps it takes to get there. Alas, c'est la college, no?

I agree with Jacob.
Such questions always make you think about yourself.
Well penned and please keep writing

both a writer and an artist...and maybe some day a writer/ artist with nine children or nine books of poems...or maybe both.
