Summer unloadedA Poem by Julia Ledosome lines that have been floating around without homes
That's not how we work
That's not how we've ever worked For f***s sake I work hard And you say I don't It's like a man telling me periods aren't that bad When I woke up to vomit this morning at 5 And bled through my favorite panties So I could put on this stupid button up blouse that doesn't fit around my chest and listen to the s**t that falls out of your mouth at the water cooler ------ If there was a murderer in the back seat of the car I hope his heart would be warmed By the heat of our laughter And if his hands wrapped around my throat I'd hope you'd keep singing If he shot us anyway I hope we were holding hands ------- Sometimes I feel like I'll die after my first kiss In a sense I will, Just like I died a second ago And the second after that. ----------- I want to slay giants And fly on dragon's shoulders But I feel like I'll be a lady in waiting
