Why do you do that?A Poem by Julia LedoWhen college friends just arent measuring up
Can you not see
The light go out of me? How can you look at my face And say this isnt my place? I need to stop speaking I need to stop speaking? I talk far too much You dont care about such and such Is it too much to ask? Its only a simple task I thought we were friends you know Or has it been three times the rooster crowed? I thought our worlds could combine You know, your interests and mine? Talking and laughing night and day Instead of conversations going one way? It hurts dont you get it? Cant you just listen a little bit? You make me miss my old friends They didnt care, but they listened on end You cut me off when my heart is its lightest Its like you dont care, not even the slightest And now its here that I am sat Wondering, why do you do that? © 2015 Julia LedoReviews
