Lipstain

Lipstain

A Poem by Julia Ledo

You left a stain on my lips
With one little kiss
Can't cover it
With this morning's lipstick
It's not coming off
As I sip from my straw
Your touch like a tattoo
You're permanent
Even when I'm done with you

Lipstain kisses
Tattooed touch
And a voice that takes up tangible space
You were too much to handle
I couldnt make myself a hoarder of you
Stack you up neatly
Till you spill over in mountains
And make a maze of my own mind
Too much to handle

Much more than bruises
Much worse than shouts
You did much more
Something I had gone without
Something so monumental
It was all too much
You loved so truly
As to stain my lips
And trace tattoos with every touch

Julia, I said it once and i will say it again... I am truly a fan of your work. Your words are like rain for this weary soul. Such passion and beauty radiating off this piece. It drew me in from the start and held me there til the end. Your flow is flawless and each word begs the next. Needless to say Great Job!
