Silence Is Deafening (Hear Me Roar)

All it takes
Is one person to make a difference
One person to build you up
Or one person to make you fall

She sits there
Silent and alone
No facebook notifications
No text messages on her phone
Only a notebook in her lap
And the sound of a pencil snap

He stands there
Silent and alone
No facebook notifications
No text messages on his phone
Just the sounds of broken glass
In which volume cannot surpass

One sentence
One phrase
One hope
One day

One young girl
One young boy
Save a life
Or destroy

Look into her eyes
Look into his
Can you hear the silent cries?
Or can you simply dismiss?

The silence is deafening
It roars louder than the oceans
It hurts deeper than the knife
It can steal their soul
Or give them life
All it takes is one word
One person to make a difference
Better choose fast
Prove to the world
Hope dies last.
