Allegorical!

Allegorical!

A Poem by Julie Grenness
"

Aiming for an allegory.

"

Can I ascend a poem allegorical?

Are Tetley's teabags paradoxical?

The teabag is firm, full of strength,

Teabag enters the moisture, to string's full length,

Radiating vigour and a pick-me-up,

While the tea drinker begins to sup,

Now, there is the lonesome teabag,

Sodden, drained by an old hag,

Teabag limp and fatigued,

I ponder, intrigued,

Are teabags signs sent from above?

That teabags are truly true love?
Is that a poem allegorical?

Used teabags, quite paradoxical!
