As the Fog Lifts

As the Fog Lifts

A Poem by Diamondjules

As the fog lifts

My mind begins to clear

My eyes no longer shed so many tears

My skin was ruddy, and smooth as silk now

Aches and pains, out of my body they pour

I am finally free of the fog that has suffocated me for so long

The sunshine through the trees, shows me the right path to follow along

I am free of the chains of my past

My heart no longer wears that horrible cast

My Prince shall now come and take me on a journey

Of love, laughter and a life full of adventure and learning

He shall love me

And I shall love him

For all of Eternity

As the fog has lifted

The mist has cleared

I am free now, of the burning sadness and so, so many tears

Hoping the journey is still on going, hoping the sun is still shining on you; searching for love is a most difficult task, keep on trucking.........

"As the fog has lifted

I love how you repeated this stanza. It really brings home the message. So often we get "stuck" in the fog (okay - I do..)

This is very inspiring.

Great job!
