If I hold Back

If I hold Back

A Poem by julespinkyd

If I hold back than I'm no good.

But if I let it all out...

If only I could.

Sometimes my heart is engorged from the pain.

Sometimes there is no light only dark in my brain.

So hard to contain.

They burst out on a page, refusing to be locked up.

Breaking out from their tormentors cage.

Colors abound as they leap from my brush.

Colors of my soul come out in a rush.

Hush.

Hush weary soul.

Calm whats within.

Slowly release it, let it break forth from your pen.

Sweet words of desire.

Sour tears of despair.

Bleed the blood from your memories.

Relish in it with tender care, from there.

There.

There in your heart.

All the passion, all the sin.

Enjoy all the agony as it runs out on this sheet.

As you feel all the heat and burn for all that you yearn.

I yearn.

I desire as this torment lifts me higher, will it ever expire, like the flames from a pyre.

My soul is on fire...

I Desire...
