Marionette DollA Poem by Julianne
My dresses, my songs, my laughter
Are all just illusion My play pretend happy The painted on smile And my blue glass eyes Beauty can make quite A lovely concealment, Don't you think? I twirl I dance I'm happy I'm happy Don't you see this smile I'm happy I'm perfect Not an object out of place Not a loose hair in sight My life is a stage Don't let them see behind the curtain Marionette strings Or a hanged man's noose?
