Marionette Doll

Marionette Doll

A Poem by Julianne

My dresses, my songs, my laughter
Are all just illusion
My play pretend happy
The painted on smile
And my blue glass eyes
Beauty can make quite
A lovely concealment,
Don't you think?
I twirl
I dance
I'm happy
I'm happy
Don't you see this smile
I'm happy
I'm perfect
Not an object out of place
Not a loose hair in sight
My life is a stage
Don't let them see behind the curtain
Marionette strings
Or a hanged man's noose?
