Your Life

Your Life

A Poem by Jules

Do you remember the time a star fell from the sky?
And we ran through the woods to see where it lie.

We were tripping on vines in this forest unknown,
To look for the fallen star on its own.

I was holding your hand saying not to let go,
As our feet sunk beneath in the fresh fallen snow.

We were bumped and were bruised, and had lost all our breath.
So we paused for a moment to prepare what was next.

We saw the bright silver light dance through the cold,
And you picked up the star.  Oh, what a sight to behold!

Its magic it held in this small glow of gas,
Held not only our future, but our present and past.

This star was your life, you need nothing more.
It made your heart full and kept you quite warm.

You cradeled the star, so gentle and sweet.
Then you looked up and smiled...and you gave it to me.
