A Silver Tale

Just something that was written to remind the world of a common mistake.

Tarnished silver used to be all there was.

Until God revealed what becoming a Christian does.

 

The knights were thrilled and threw down their swords.

For they wanted to know more about the Lord.

 

A miracle happened and all the tarnished silver was now sparkling and clean. Who could have done such a wonderful thing?

 

The knights turned cruel and greed started to grow.

They fought over the best silver and became each other’s foe.

 

“I knew this would happen.” God said sadly.

He turned the silver back the way it was because the knights were acting so badly.

 

The knights finally noticed what God had done.

They asked Him why he did it.

He told them they weren’t acting like Jesus Christ His son.

 

They dropped their heads in shame and asked God to forgive how foolish they became.

 

God said they were forgiven and He’d give them a second chance.

The knights thanked him happily and began to sing and dance.

 

The knights started to pray daily to their heavenly Father up above

And read their Bible day and night to learn about his love.

 

God was very happy that the knights had learned their lesson.

So he turned the silver into sterling to give them an extra blessin’.
