Let It Be

Let It Be

A Poem by Jenneka
"

Ha. Fairytales.

"

I was told as I grew older

That farytales couldn't be real.

There is no knight in shining armor,

Who feels the same way you feel.

There is no prince who saves a damzel,

And lives happily ever after.

There is no beautiful happy ending,

With everlasting laughter.

Let it be you. Let me breathe you.

Let you be my prince, my everything.

I'll be your queen if you'll be my king.

Let it be you, with my happy ending.

I was taught that there was not

Another world full of fantasies.

Could you take me there? Please take me where

We could live without apathy.

I will try and show you why

We must escape and be free from this place.

My heart is true, I belong to you

When I see that caring look on your face.

Let it be you. Let me breathe you.

Let you be my knight, I'll be your wings.

Just hold me close, and don't say a thing.

Let it be you, and my happy ending.

Let it be you. Let me breathe you.

Let you be my prince, my everything.

I'll be your queen if you'll be my king.

You'll me my knight, I'll be your wings.

Just hold me close, don't say a thing.

Let me be the princess that you're holding.

Let me be the queen to love the king.

Let it be you, you're my happy ending.

I wrote this two years ago when I was thirteen. It's extremely cheezy, but I want to keep it anyway.
