Thick

Thick

A Poem by Jules

My motives may have been skewed
my critique a tad bit flawed
i'm standing there staring
Suddenly I feel very small

What is it that you wanted again?
Tell me once more how it's done
I can't seem to move my feet
My shoelaces have come undone

It's like I'm spinning in a circle
Only, I haven't moved from this spot
I'm going to judge you now
I think you have been smoking "The Pot"

You tend to state the obvious
and as I'm wondering in amazement
I dont understand this path
that my curiosity has taken

You appear vulture like at times
I sense a frustrated martyr
Where is it you were going all along?
Don't you want to go any further?

My laces are now entangled
and lay around my shoes like weeds
I'm overcome with urgency
to go nowhere and plant my seeds

Will you carry me through the thick?
Have you seen what happens next
Can you just ignore the past,
the one that claims you perlexed?
