Balancing On The Rim

Balancing On The Rim

A Poem by Jules

My reaction to your subtle hint was far from the truth.
I diligently deem myself completely doomed.
I fear the great unknown and seek refuge alone.
Not knowing how you meant to say
Not knowing if I'll get in the way.
These days flutter by so quickly.
Come spring, I'll stop to take a sip of tea.
Until that day, I'll wake up alone.
I'll stumble through, and become your home.

You are my home, my heart, my sanity.
I breathe you in and discover humanity.
My days are no longer clouded and dim.
You bring to me simplicity on a whim.
A dime sized rain drop overhead
Can fill my heart with no tears to shed

I see you, and wonder if you see what I do.
Those hands, I long for them far too soon.
I will graze upon your mind to learn today
and dream of ways in which I wish to play.
I'll hold your eyes within my own
And stare back to what you have shown.
You are the perfection I hold within
You claim my aura, balancing on the rim.

You seem to write with a balanced stream of consciousness. It is hard to review such content on an objective level, it is purely subjective as to a persons likes and dislikes. I think you should try your hand at blank verse, I am sure you would do a great job with it.
