There is a road called Longyang Road in Shanghai. This road shares the same name with Longyang Jun, who was a celebrity of Wei during the Warring State. He was a famous swordsman, tactician, diplomat, and also a lover of the Emperor of Wei.

Although Longyang Jun was not the first gay person in China’s history, but he definitely was the most favoured by the king, there was/is a story that could/can prove this.

One day, Longyang Jun and the emperor of Wei were fishing and after a while Longyang Jun suddenly began to cry and the emperor asked him why he was crying?

Longyang Jun said, “There are a lot of beauties in the world. I know that you favour me , but they will come to you. And then, you will leave me once because I won’t be able to compare to them, So, I can’t stop shedding tears!”
