ode to Suess

ode to Suess

A Poem by Judy McIntosh

How can I get home again,
Back to where you are?
A plane, the train, a motorbike,
a boat, a bike, a car?

Perhaps I'll ride a camel,
or a willing, quick emu?
Maybe a silky palaquin,
will get me back to you.

A dog sled, or a rocket,
a rickshaw I could take.
Watch the scenery go by
until I reach your gate.

A submarine, a mountain bike,
or maybe something rare?
A fancy magic carpet ride
to fly me through the air.

Know that I am coming,
and soon I will be there.
I just have to make the choice,
by road or sea or air.
