quarterback's sweaterA Poem by Judy McIntoshan abcb poem of teenage angst
I remember the sound
of my breaking heart. Jealousy raged, tore me apart. We were a couple, the high school romance. We met at the annual Winterfest dance. Then one night I had to work late, she wasn't happy to miss our game date. I arrived at half time, hoped things would be better. Then I saw her kiss him, wearing his sweater.
