Better DaysA Poem by Juan HernandezMy first work I wrote for this site depicting inner pain and how writing has always been and will always be my therapy.
I sit as I await better days while my mind and soul seem to stray further away.
The Pain i express has left endless scars and yet shown me the way, while I sit and wait for better days. Daily I'm losing traction hurting loved ones not by words but by lack of actions. My world seems divided into many sections as I enter deeper and deeper states of depression. I attempt to pull myself together only to come up short yet I never quit, give up, NEVER. To express my pain through words, To a judgmental observer it may seem absurd to me it's therapy so I care less about what you heard. I'm here today and still pray for better days. As each day comes to an end false friends and bloodlines filled with hatred I gather myself my thoughts become sacred I'm sort of like Houdini watch me escape it. Close my eyes the soul cries yet when I wake I will pray for better days. © 2012 Juan HernandezAuthor's Note
