The Awakening

The Awakening

A Poem by jenna

The sleeping caterpillar awakes as a beautiful butterfly

Stretching her wings, fluttering over the majestic garden

The garden was large and pure

And once so lavish, now consumed by the reviver

Drenched wings and short breaths over the butterfly

By the light of the disappearing sun

All fades into black

Without recognition; alone in the darkness

The delicate butterfly awakens by the emerging sun

Alleviating in drowsiness

Not aware of the wish fulfilling jewel neath her

At peace with the actions of yesterday

She exhales the gloomy

Glancing below at the harmonious jewel

The lustrous green jewel gleams

With a sense of buoyancy

Light overwhelms her thus she looks up

As she lays under the tree of the Bodhi

Love the description and imagery!
Your word choice is also quite phenomenal, the lines are so poetic and haunting.

Beautiful work! :)
