Honesty

Honesty

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

This a polite response to just trying to express my views.

"
Modern days.
Everyone can pull up their causes.
Post visuals that make people cringe.
All in a good cause.

They want you to share.

If you do this automatically,
without a thought on what you have done,
what have you let loose?

Who do you know that has went through it?

How often is some ten second moment going to bring somebody to their knees.

Trying to do good.

Now, if your explanations fall on the ears of the dedicated,
You may even agree.
Often comes back the attacks.

Seems to happen way too much.

"Honesty"
Jon Roggie,
All in the name of honesty? I wonder sometimes if our present time frame has become automatic in emotional impact. It seems like we live in a time where quiet pondering with no comment is not the norm. So that when it is important to speak the voice is not taken so seriously.
Your last line is something to think on:
"Now,if your explanations fall on the ears of the dedicated,
You may even agree.
Often comes back the attacks.

seems to happen way too much.
Great one!
Blessings,
Kathy

Obvious typos are one thing. There is something about a first write. It feels honest.
