Sitting in the bar, next to the coffee shop

Sitting in the bar, next to the coffee shop

A Story by Jon Roggie

This might have been a mistake.
I should have did a little more research,
but it sounded like such a unique.....

I know.

Tap your forehead.

So,
 on the appointed time,
I meet my future.

It smells of fresh baked oatmeal cookies,
 without the raisins.

Hot Chocolate with a need for unlimited whipped cream.

The screaming started,
  and true to nature,
I find myself trying to hide in the shadows.

Quickest refuge,
 not like I was choosy,
 was just next door.

For a moment,
 dodging even a little attention,
  relaxing.

Hiding in the ferns.

"Peaceful, isn't it?"

I admit,
  a little trill escaped me.

"Enchanting!"

Not regretting job going wherever it did.

Lips like wine,
 eyes full of pain,
  and a....

"Dio!"

The largest man I have ever seen has just walked in...
