The Gnome asks...

The Gnome asks...

A Story by Jon Roggie
"

Forgive me Warner Brothers

"
"What do we do now, Tortoise?"

The Tortoise pauses for a moment,
 takes a breath,
and uses a voice normally heard in so-called children's cartoons.

"The same thing we do every night, Gnomie.
Try to bring hope to the world."

A true sophisticate! Nice when a plan comes together!
And the ones that find that hope are the ones who notice the tiniest of movements in the gnomes and tortoises, as they once more play statues in the daylight.
I seem to recall from childhood the moment i knew they were real, the time they were in a rush and didn't wipe away their muddy footprints. Amateur mistake 😀

We need love where there is hatred. What a dreadful state of affairs we find ourselves in. 2020 is possibly the most dismal year I can remember. Covid and riots. What a combination. Yes, we need hope Jon and by the bucket load and quickly too. Hope you are doing ok my friend.
