What is it gnome?

Glorious morning!

Take in a breath,

  and spit out my coffee.

Eight minutes, 

  and thirty-three seconds of perfection.

Lost.

Take a breath.

Don't want another Vesuvius

Few rumbles in the distance.

Damn.

"I didn't  want to bother you..."

It would be so easy

"There seems to have been a misunderstanding."

One little wave...

Raised eyebrow asks the question.

Impudent little ….

"I didn't mean for it to happen!"

Clouds are forming.

  A few arcs of lightning with the thunder following.

"I will give you eight minutes. and thirty-four seconds."

The little one smiles,

  wringing his little red cap.

I love the fragmented structure here! There's a strong fantasy flavour, and of course, I can relate to the last line.

I owe this type of tale to Robert Asprin. The Myth series is a fun series. Another inspiration would be Piers Anthony's Xanth series.
If it ever reaches a merchandising level, I live in the state of the Mouse. They can sell anything.
