'Change of view'
Jon Roggie,
This spoke to me of how emotion, state of mind, mood, even health and rest and age all are our spectacles viewing life. What at any one time may influence how one views and deals with life and any situations, relationships etc. Solitude sure can be a way to clear one's vision. Then the thoughts may be able to focus and rest on what and who and how we feel and vision be more colorful. Great piece..made me think!
Blessings,
Kathy

This is how I feel when I'm reviewing poems here at the cafe. One moment, I've got my funny glasses on & I'm overflowing with guffaws of delight. The next minute I've got my goth glasses on & everything feels quite dark. Then there are those many times when I don't understand a word of what's being written, but it all sounds so intelligent & well-crafted, I better put on my study glasses for those! But the view I love best is the one where all I need are my pondering glasses. Damn, your poem is so inspirational, I could've just about written a reply poem here if I didn't have my scatterbrain glasses on! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I still like keeping it simple. Amazes me what people see sometimes!
yes, we can see the world as we want, wearing whatever glasses make it seem best for us...blocking out all that we don't want to see...but with the naked eyes comes the truth of the scene...and it is not pretty...
so this poem tells me of a dilemma....see it for what it is...or blindly ignore the truth.

Something I can't help but notice.
Thank you, sir.
We view the world through the different lenses of our experiences and beliefs. Were we able to discard those long held conclusions, the world would indeed seem new. Perhaps dismaying at times, but real. Insightful work here.

It can be a brand new world when you look at it a different way. Depends on the viewer.
