More bruises

More bruises

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I am tired of examinations.
More in the past month,
 than the past twenty years.
All one conclusion.
I shouldn't be this healthy.
This is why I don't bother with doctors.
Glittery eyes take blood samples.
Will you at least switch arms?

Woah yeah relatable. I like how you muse here evocatively in a very interesting way. I hate finger prick tests soo much, so painful agh ! Kudos for this poem in brevity.

Soo nice to read from your inking again, pleez do comment/add your thoughts/ review my newest poem too. I like saying hi to poets and poetry.

I was in the hospital, I was awakened every morning at 5 am so that they could get s blood sample. I called the two girls who came in for that The Vampire Twins. My left arm was bruised beyond belief.
My sympathies.

I sympathise with you Jon, the doctor I saw seemed fascinated by my fluctuating blood pressure, enough to take blood every few weekd for four years. I gave up, thinking it was probably the trips to the doctorstressing out my bp. And yes, take notes of which arm was used last and share the bruising more evenly. I think all doctors are secret vampires now, and we are their walking feeding stations :)
