Innocent

Innocent

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Mistaken for being naive,
but chooses to look at the world with wondering eyes.

Seeing the pain around them,
 but still having hope.

Embracing little moments of beauty,
while the tears flow for the pain surrounding.

Innocent,
 and still not calloused.

Gee
Fast approaching 57 yet still awed by nature and the resilience, beauty of the human spirit.
Trouble with this world is bad news is good news to those selling papers etc so although there is so much more good than bad, the latter is rammed down our throats constantly.

It is getting a harder and harder talent to keep up with Jon, seeing through innocent and non accusing eyes these days. But the hope it could be a brief glimmer of hope to someone who needs it makes it worthwhile, and naïve ain't close to the worst thing to be called :)
Keep on keeping on.
