Time to make new legends

Time to make new legends

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The air is growing stale.
  A fresh breeze is needed.

Old stories are waiting to be revived.
Wanting the attention of a new audience.

Knowing their story only needs a new voice.

Modern day connection.

Small changes in appearance,
and a slight tweak of the character.

Minor grumbles,
but enjoying being back on the stage.

Dust brushed off the spine,
while the pages are flipped once again.

What a wonderful way to write on writing and the changes within us, that in my case at least are a barometer of the moods of the seasons. Right now, I notice I talk faster in the cold, not wanting to hang about. But then I remember I am wearing four layers and talking or passing the time will keep the only part of me that is open to the elements, my mouth, from freezing up. Now if only I could find a decent glove that you can write with, I'd be set :)
