The night is not over

The night is not over

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The raven seems to like ska.
  Dances along.

I dread to go to sleep.

Dreams are becoming interesting.

Nothing unpleasant.
Simply ones making me think.

Lost in introspection,
while reaching for a moment of rest.

Raven dances along.

Song changes,
  as well as the mood.

Touch of irritation.

All I want is to sleep.

Glance at the raven,
 and he wisely walks away.

Story could continue,
and he doesn't want to be part of the end.

Might finally get some sleep.

See,that's what I hate most about birds. Always dancing around the room when I'm trying to sleep.
Feed 'em some poison breadcrumbs. That's what I do when this becomes a problem.
Must be like me; too much acid in the 60s, man...
Sweet dreams, Jon, and sweet write...

Later decade, but that could be part of the problem...
I respect the music choice but dancing ravens as you are trying sleep. ..
I wonder if they are symbolic.

Mix of influences, as well as trying times.
