Self

Self

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Who are you?
Are you defined by your job,
or maybe the people surrounding you?
Is that you?
Do you constrain your vision,
avoiding the beauties free to see?
I hope not.
We are all formed by our experiences,
 and choose how we grow.
Each different,
 and still the same.
All trying to find one thing.
A true reflection.
just to see your self.

Who am I? What a thought. Well I'm certainly not someone defined by their job as I no longer work. I am though someone who is passionate about the welfare of her family, who has a love of the natural world and poetry. That sums me up in a nut shell. Good morning Jon.

I try to be the opposite of all the traits I have seen in others and disliked whilst going through my life, and to my daughter, the father I would have liked as my own had he stuck around.
Good morning Jon
