Tortoise takes a stroll

Tortoise takes a stroll

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I can't help myself.
The day usually starts with a grumble.

Try moving everyday.

Notice how many show up when it is time to move to a new house?

I do that everyday.

I am 110.

Don't get me started.

Where are the pumpkins?

Nice change for the diet.

Missing the strawberries.

You focus on the little things.

Friends would rest on my shell,
 and speak of flying.

Giving an image of something I could never do.

Some might think I would feel resentment.

I only resent they only last for such a short time.

Reached the other side of the Garden.

Night is falling.

Rest while watching the fireflies flying.

My pleasure.
The Garden is still a fond memory.
