A story starts a storyA Story by Jon Roggie
From the start,
i must admit something. I am tired. This means I might take up the story later. Cliffhangers are good for the heart. A man's car breaks down on the side of the road. He sees the light from a farm nearby. Trudging through the mud, and after a few slips, he makes it to the door. A grudging welcome, combined with a twelve gauge, does not inspire confidence. Looking at me, with one dead eye, he says I can stay. "Just don't touch the purple ape."
