How can I tell a story?

How can I tell a story?

A Story by Jon Roggie

One look,
 and you stop listening.

This is when I take a pause.

I am looking at you.

Well,
maybe the person next to you.

Might have caught your attention.

Telling a story is freeing your soul.

You are sharing.

Take a breath.

Relax.

Let me tell you a story.

"how can i tell a story?'
Jon Roggie,
Our very lives are a story- one long line of vignettes. We are constantly acting out one thing after another. I found that many times in conversation and in the day to day I find myself explaining something that has happened or a lesson learned through an experience. Then others I know do the same. We share our experiences-our stories all the time. This is a way which we find commonality with others and understand and help each other because we can come alongside one another in our stories of life.Great thought provoking poem!
Blessings,
Kathy

Thank you, Kathy.
I feel we learn from sharing our stories.

Yes and I hope today is a day of good for you and even the building of something new learned. Kathy
This is great. In here the word "story" frightens people away. Ever since I started putting my poems as chapters, people walk on by. In real life, some people listen when you say "let me tell you a story" , but many people walk away.

It is a simple trick. It is kind of like a compilation.. You bring the person into the story.
