I am still off

I am still off

A Story by Jon Roggie

Self-editing.
I have said before,
I write on a thirty second mark.
I also have a ten second edit.
This is the easiest way to say I don't like my own stuff.
I notice when it is going a direction,
 one I don't care for.
Still,
  I miss things.
Giving myself a cushion,
I tend to not write in a conventional way.
This is where writer's doubt sinks in.
This is also where I decide to run with it.
If I were to let my doubt settle in,
there would have never been one word.
The doubts push me.
I will write.
