We shouldn't need themA Story by Jon Roggie
I look around,
and I admit it. I don't like all of the movements. I was raised in a time of civil destruction. The government was corrupt. Various groups reacted in violent ways. I don't know how many anti-groups I have heard of in my life. The thing is we should have learned. I was seven in 1974, and I can still remember. We had three channels on the tv, so we heard all of it. I was ticked off because the Watergate hearings shut down my cartoons. At this point, it is all another stale repeat, and I wonder if anyone learned anything. Sad statement going back through the centuries. At my most cynical, it is the natural motive for mankind. Exploit who ever you can. We should have moved past this. Instead of joining together, we consistently form different groups. Each saying they had more harm done. Then, the arguments start again. Echoes through the years. Time to be a hermit.
