Social media

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Before you think I am about to go on a rant,
I am actually going to talk about a positive.

Winding down after the day.

Early dinner,
  or maybe a late lunch.
It was a nice mix of grilled shrimp, vegetables, and fresh salsa by the way.
  Corn tortillas were added,
   and a few other items.

Oh,
I also showed my niece how to make a caramel brownie.

Where was I?

Social media.

Like I said,
 I was winding down.

See a post from my older brother.
He is at a baseball game.

Having been at the stadium before,
I recognize the area where he is sitting.

Not long after,
one of our cousins posts a picture.

She is at the same game.

Little bit to the right,
  and a few rows down.

I let them know the other is there.

Don't know if they actually met,
 but by the seventh inning,
they knew where the other one was.

Greetings have been exchanged,
 but I was growing tired,
and any meeting probably wouldn't have found its way to the feed.

Still,
 isn't this the entire idea?

Use the tools provided in a positive way?

I love this and I love this ...and I love your perspective...quite unique way of putting it...

It was fun, and also a true story.
A small world getting made smaller all the time. I like the positive aspect of social media, it is just quite hard to find the social bit, in amongst all the anti social :)
I like the positives in your tale though Jon. Hope the niece liked the brownie.

Her boyfriend even helped. Next I have to teach her how to use the carpet cleaner.
