A two dog night

A two dog night

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Sometimes,
 the dogs just get scared.

Random fireworks,
 possible gunshots,
   or maybe a car backfiring.

Either way,
it puts them in a panic.

Luckily,
 I outweigh the two combined.

Bed will be crowded,
 but my place is reserved.

A few minor complaints must be added.

I will be woken by the sounds of paws being licked,
and blankets have a meeting with the washer.

Also,
they do try to steal my pillows.

Gee
Bedrooms are made to have the faint whiff of dog hanging in the air. Our spaniel loves to rumble around on the landing at 4 am before clawing my arm to lift him back onto the bed. Dogs, love ''em

I just had to set up the bed so they wouldn't try and sneak behind my head.
Dogs excuse to sleep in bed Jon. Animals and kids. Don't like the storms. Thank you Jon for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Both need attention. You are right. Dogs are easier.
