Another hotel room

Another hotel room

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I will state from the beginning,
there is nothing immoral happening.
I realize this may disappoint some of you,
but I couldn't resist the title.
While not being a constant traveler,
I still spend a lot of nights in these rooms.
The amenities are pleasant,
but it is still not home.
So,
I write.
Strange rooms lead to different views,
and the words seem the same.
Somehow,
it makes it feel like home.

i have a particular room i think of when i read this. It was my starting point...or intersection when i visited my dad in the last years...
a refuge of sorts.
