We become one

We become one

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Memories of waiting in line at a concert. Lyrics of the band Yes are mixed in, and obviously the words belong to them.

"
Lot easier than you think.
I will give you an oddball example.
It is April 1st,
and we are waiting to go to a show.
Yes had a few different versions of a song.
They showed them all on that former music channel.
Standing in line,
 outside the arena,
and standing like cattle in line,
    the song starts.
There are a few thousand people in front,
  and the doors haven't opened.
"One down, and one to go...."
Not exactly the song expected before an Ozzy concert,
but the crowd is having fun.
"Two down, and there you go..."
Everyone is having fun,
 even while waiting in line.
Also,
the first of April is not always very cool in Phoenix.
Still,
  we stand around,
and we are singing a song,
    laughing.
