Hiding in the crescent moon

Hiding in the crescent moon

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Sitting in the shadows,
while enjoying a chance away from the Sun,
knowing the light will find me again.

It is starting to take too much work.
How am I supposed to find some quiet,
let alone a touch of peace?

The shadows can be comforting. A reprieve.
I imagine a turtle under a tree, slowly following the shade on a hot day so it does not roast.
I guess to me this says that you can never get too comfortable in one place.

Yes, I like this cry from the soul. The things of life can seem too much. I often find a 'shadow' to sit in. That sun can be quite demanding! I really like this poem>
