When you pay attention

When you pay attention

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Noticing what is around seems to have been suppressed.
A simple skill left on the wayside.

Moments distorted by preconceptions.

Nothing new.

Judgement by passing view.

I remember being asked,
   "What are you?"

Granted,
  sitting in a spa,
with a touch of a disclaimer before the question,
      I did not take offense.

I had to smile.

Still trying to decide.

How others see us is not really important as who we are and what we are to ourselves and that we believe in ourselves and love ourselves is what is most important- actually can be quite entertaining at times go see and hear what people think and See and half of the time they have no clue- well written🌹

I agree.
As a friend said,
"If I didn't know you, I would be scared to death."
